Protecting the Curious-(Oil)
22 x 28 |
Well I'm back to making normal paintings again. I ran out of some colors of my glow in the dark paint, so I'm painting some oil paintings to keep me busy while I earn earn enough money to buy more. Glow paints are expensive! Anyway this is a painting of a mother bear and her cub. I love this painting. The baby bear has a very curious way about him. It feels like he wants to run off and go exploring. Mother bears are very protective of their cubs so I decided to call it "Protecting the Curious".I finished it on my birthday (July 5th).

Self Portrait- (Oil)
Wisdom Teeth
12x16 |
This is a painting of a leopard/bobcat. Its meant to be a leopard but my family thinks it looks like a bobcat because of the pointy ears. They also think his mouth looks swollen like he just got his wisdom teeth pulled out. Thanks:) Ha Ha. This was done with oil paint on a piece of canva- paper. It was finished sometime in July of 2013
Green Infinity
18x24 |
This is another assignment I got in painting class. Our teacher gave us all an assignment to make a abstract realism painting, which means we had to create something recognizable but be something you would never see in real life. I decided to paint a tiger but make it green. I also added some swirl designs and a space background. Unlike my other assignments I did this painting at home during Christmas break. I just bought some oil paints and I wanted to try them out. This is my very first oil painting.
Perfect Timing

The is another assignment that I was given in one of my art classes. My teacher gave us an assignment to make a abstract painting out of circles. The requirements were that you could only use circle shapes, you had to have a color wheel in it, you had to have something recognizable, and you had to airbrush a sphere into it. This was paintings done in acrylic and finished in the winter of 2012
